I’m always a sucker for a good washcloth. I designed the Jovial Washcloth to have a subtle texture that will help exfoliate while bathing.
The Jovial Washcloth will make a great addition to a gift basket with locally made cold-processed soaps too.

The Yarn
I used I Love This Cotton yarn from Hobby Lobby. I’m working through some of my stash so this is what I have on hand. Other yarns you could use include:
- Paintbox Yarns – Cotton Aran
- We Crochet/Knit Picks – Dishie
- Lion Brand Yarns – 24/7 Cotton
- Premier – Home Cotton (Available on Lovecrafts and Michael’s)
Supplies
- 70-80 yards cotton yarn
- G – 4.00mm
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
- Measuring tape
- Stitch markers
Stitches Used
You will need to know how to do the following stitches to make the Jovial Washcloth for yourself:
- Ch – Chain
- Hdc – Half Double Crochet
- Sc – Single Crochet
- Tr – Treble Crochet

Finished Size: 7”x 7”
Written in US crochet terms.
A stitch count is provided at the end of each row.
Each set of 4 rows should be 1″ tall.
