Stitches Used

The Perennial Sweater uses basic stitches to create a beautiful texture. The following a list of the stitches used.

  • Blo – Back Loop Only
  • Ch(s) – Chain(s)
  • Dc – Double Crochet
  • Sc2Tog – Single Crochet 2 Together
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Sl St – Slip Stitch
  • St(s) – Stitch(es)

Stitch Definition

Sc2Tog – Single Crochet 2 TogetherInsert hook into St, YO and pull up a loop in each of the next two Sts (three loops on hook), YO and pull through all three loops on the hook.

Pattern Notes

You can personalize your Perennial Sweater to fit your body and style. The Perennial Sweater will look amazing at any length; cropped, tunic, or hip length. To adjust the length you can go up or down a size for the starting chain.

The pattern is written with long sleeves but I know that a lot of us prefer 3/4 sleeves. Simply end the sleeves an inch or so from from where you would like the sleeves to fall and move on to the border, still following the stitch pattern of course.

Stitch counts are provided for each row and each size – yes, that’s a whole lot of math!

Your Perennial Sweater will be worked in these easy steps:
– Panels
– Sewing of panels
– Sleeves
– Trim
– Finishing touches.

Gauge

Ch 21
1.) Sc in 2nd Ch from the hook and each Ch across. (20)
2.) Turn, Ch 1, Sc in 1st St and each St across. (20)
3-20.) Repeat row 2.

Within swatch you should have: 13 Sts x 16 Rows of Sc = 4”
