Crochet Cancer Challenge 2023

The Lavender Honey Beanie is featured in the 2023 Crochet Cancer Challenge hosted by Sweet Potato 3. This is the 4th year that I’ve participated as a designer.

For the month of October 2023 there are over 30 wonderful designers offering a free pdf download with every pledge. We ask that you pledge to make at least one of each pattern you download and donate it to someone in need. It can be a loved one, a friend, an acquaintance, a local hospital, or just anyone who you know that would appreciate the sentiment.

Over the past 3 years there have been over 3000 pledges of the hats that I have contributed. Previously featured hats are the Pearl Beanie, Quiet River Hat, and the Cozy Retreat Hat.

To get this year’s featured pattern as a free pdf download for a pledge to donate one finished hat grab the coupon code from the blog hop post using the button below.

Once you have your coupon code click the button below to head to Ravelry to get your free pdf download.

    The Yarn

Coasters made from cotton yarn work the best because they can easily absorb any condensation or small spills. If all you have on hand is acrylic yarn, then go ahead and use that.

With the Ursula Coaster I used Lily Sugar ‘n Cream in colorway Meadow. When shopping for the yarn for this design the color just spoke to me and I absolutely NEEDED to have it.
