Sweet & Simple Blog Hop

The Yarn

I decided to go with a Caron Latte Cake for the yarn on the Alpine Scarf. The yarn is so soft and has a beautiful texture to it.

Once the scarf was complete all I pictured was a snowy night in a quant mountainside town. The perfect accessory to wear on a date while walking the quiet storefronts in a resort town in the mountains. I was watching a lot of holiday Hallmark movies at the time if that helps you visualize it too.

Supplies

The supplies you’ll need to make the Alpine Scarf are:

• 1 cake of Caron Latte Cakes
• K/6.5 mm crochet hook
• Yarn needle
• Measuring tape
• Scissors
• Blocking materials (optional)

Stitches Used

Ch – Chain
Dc – Double Crochet
MC – Magic Circle
RS – Right Side
SDc – Starting Double Crochet
Sk – Skip
Sp – Space
St(s) – Stitch(es)
WS – Wrong Side

Stitch Definitions

Starting Double Crochet – (also known as Long Chain Double Crochet or Chainless Starting Double Crochet.) Pull up your loop to the height of your usual Double Crochet. Yarn over, insert into the 1st stitch, yarn over, pull through the stitch, yarn over, pull through two loops on the hook, yarn over, pull through the remaining two loops on your hook.

Pattern Notes

The SDc can be substituted with a Ch 3.

A stitch count is provided at the end of each row.

Blocking isn’t necessary but advised.
